Other Work I Have Been Involved In

Hello,
In this section of my blog, I will write about projects that I have worked on or I'm currently working on. For starters, I just like to say how honoured and grateful I feel to be involved in these projects.

  • Starting in April 2017, I was asked by a university student whether he could include some of my writing in one of his desertations based around disability. This is now completed and I've absoutely thrilled with what he wrote as I really felt it helped raise awareness of the struggles and acheivements people with CP go through. I'm not mentioning any specific details or his name for confidentially reasons.
  •  I am currently participating in a study created by a PhD student looking into what it is like for young people young people experiencing hospitalisation and medical issues. I am one of six people taking part in this three year PhD and again I feel truly honoured and grateful to allow my opinions to be heard in what should eventually become a worldwide study read by teachers, medical professionals and others. I'm not mentioning any specific details or names for confidentially reasons.
  • Starting in September 2017, I worked with Lynne Barber who writes resource guides to go on the website http://www.cerebralpalsy.org/. She was looking to put together a guide of useful blogs that parents who have a child with Cerebral Palsy will find useful. Lynne reached out to me, asking whether she could include my blog in the resource guide and I said yes as the whole point of this blog is to reach as many people as possible. It’s so nice to know that I might be putting the minds of parents with a new diagnosed child at ease and help them to understand what life with Cerebral Palsy is really like.
I hope as this blog grows, I will be involved in more and more projects which of course I will be more than happy to take part in. I will update this page whenever I have new information to share so watch this space!
If you have a project and you believe my thoughts, posts and experiences may be helpful to you please don't hesitate to contact me through the contact form on the homepage of this blog or you can email me: livingwithcerebalpalsyevie@outlook.com

Thank you for reading,
Evie :) x
